What an incredible dining experience! Masala Art in Torquay is a true gem. The location is fantastic — perfect for a post-beach feast — and the food? Absolutely divine.
As lovers of all things spicy, we asked if the dishes could be made extra hot, and the lovely staff didn’t just listen — they delivered! The flavours were rich, bold, and beautifully balanced. Every bite was packed with spice and soul — just the way we like it!
The staff were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. It’s clear they care about both their food and their guests.
We highly recommend this stunning restaurant to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine.
Masala Art is easily one of the most authentic Indian restaurants we’ve been to in Australia — and yes, we’ll definitely be back!

I had the most incredible dining experience at Masala Art! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The menu offered a fantastic variety of authentic Indian dishes, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious.
The butter chicken was creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, while the naan was soft and freshly baked. The chicken biryani had the perfect balance of spice and rich, savory taste. Not to mention, their Gulab Jamun and ice cream were crispy on the outside and filled with a flavorful, sweet aromatic filling.
The service was impeccable – attentive without being overbearing – and the atmosphere was just perfect for a cozy lunch or a celebration. I left feeling completely satisfied and will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend this gem to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!

It was delicious, one of the best butter chicken and a really tasty chicken tikka masala. Would definitely recommend.

I was sceptical as we approached for our Saturday family of 5 lunch. We were the only customers. The samosas were the best I’ve had. Tandoori chicken was nice but a but dry. The we had the most delicious and amazing vegetarian dishes I’ve ever eaten. Obviously dinner is more popular and web site didn’t say it allowed BYO and wine selection was pretty limited. It’s definitely worth a try.
